New boat. Dog with 2 danglies

Great stuff Henry, Looks fab. Great pictures too. Now I know who is the photo man at 911Virgin, always admired how brilliant the pics are on your site compared to all the others.

Many happy miles afloat .

Many thanks. Cruising in company to Portland / Weymouth today so expect more photos.

Actually Dan takes most of the 911Virgin photos these days although we do feed off each other which keeps things fresh. One of us will come up with a different image and the other tries to better it.

I have always had an interest right from the black and White days when you developed your own. These days digital is great because you don't have to be too precious when snapping away. Other than cropping and rotating I don't get involved in editing like some people do. I'm just looking for a decent raw image.

Anyway must get ready to meet up with the gang somewhere in the Solent to head west.

Henry :)

have fun Henry:cool: would be good to see her underway if those you're meeting up with today are able to shoot some video from their boat(s)

You chose a great day for it! I was down at the coast earlier this morning and the sea was completely flat and with the blue sky I could have been in the Med, except it was still a little chilly this morning.

I can't wait to take the boat (when I get it back) to Weymouth. Visited by car lots of time but never yet by boat.

Lots of pictures please :D

new boat

Henry, Beautiful boat...and best of luck. I am sure am sure you will really enjoy. Our P42 now on the market with Princess! Sad days! Wish us luck!

Good luck with the sale.

Bizzarely our old boat is just across the pontoon here in Portland having come over on the Haslar cruise, had dinner with the new owners last night.

Right then:

Hi Henry,
I have been away and just caught up with your thread. What a lovely boat, well done. You must let me know how it handles compared to the P42?

I like the Princess handover process far better than mine. When our P42 was launched we were allowed one look on board and then told we cany come back until fitting is complete, whic was 2 weeks later and then it was pass the keys and off you go. No goodies no champage no flowers and we flet pretty deflated in a way. Moto is dont go through agents.

You mention codeing, so is it your idea to use this vessal different to your old P42?

I can't fault the Swanwick experience at all both with this boat and the P42, we are pretty laid back customers I think which probably helps.

I am going to start a chater company with this boat but a little different to all the other operations I've thus seen in the UK. More nearer the time, currently sorting out all the behind the scenes stuff.

Anyway, onwards and upwards. Left the Hamble bound for Portland with a lunch stop in Lulworth bay.

Dining table is rather handy as a chart table and located right next to the chart plotter / helm position.

Had a quick drive by Weymouth, off there tomorrow to ride out Monday's winds and see some old friends there.
