New Bavaria Deep Blue 46 Hard Top

I think the styling is "trying too hard". This will date very quickly, and appeal to a limited number of buyers, so residuals will not be good. Anything overstyled ends up looking uncomfortable IMHO.
 
Much better than the open version, has a better balance..... I quite like it in a sort of Judge Dread/ Retro way...... But is that a touch of 80's Bayliner in the mix as well.....??
 
I like it a lot. Much better than the Scealine SC47 IMHO. I do not think the Bimini looks good on the Photos though. Would like to see it without the Bimini up. What I do like is that the rear seating is clear of the HT so you can get some sun!

too short a hard top for this kind of boat I think
as Wiggo says the HT seem to come from a lobster boat

I prefare the Sealine SC styling altough in that case it is extended too much then
find a balance and copy a bit Pershing or an Abs please...
 
Doesn't work for me.

The Oyster has the looks right. But then again, there'll be a price difference!

Wonder if BMB will up their quality for this model... I saw one at a show and it had internal fittings already bubbling before it was even sold.
 
Have been very close to buying a new Bav 3 times and even had finance sorted but could not go through with it because of Cheap looking quality (think old cockpit cushions) and they just never excited me in a way that the Cranchis, Absolutes and even newer Sealines do! This is similar to what Bene did with the Montecarlo Range...they moved the goal posts but then let themselves down with poor quality. I hope Bav get it right on the 46 because it deserves some success just for the styling attempt (love it or hate it!). I would really like to have a nosey around one...

Don't like the look of it, as others have said, in a few years it will look odd and no one ill want it - why can't boats look like boats?
 
Looks to barge like at the front and lots of wasted space with that sloping stern . All the good looking boats IMHO are pointy at the bow and have lines that blend along the length of the hull . Bavaria i think are missing the point in making grand design statements instead of improving detail design features and using better quality fittings and finish . And WHY do builders bolt on those massive swim platforms that dont add space or hull length /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Sea Ray started this in the end of the 90s and Cranchi followed this on there smaller models, and now is Bavaria
who is next...
