The Edel 33 catamaran. I am currently whittling down the choices for the next boat and one of these is available so I am seeking any advice or feedback that anyone may have about them before making a decision about going to view

All sensible comments gratefully received, all comments about unsuitability of cats will be read but ignored.

They dont make the 33 anymore, manufacturers are at here
In reply to:

The Edel 35 (and older 33) cats are fast and, though produced fairly recently, still offer good value for the money. Some Edels have an open bridgedeck in the Cabrio style and others have bridgedeck accommodations that are accessed separately from the hulls, with a layout similar to the present day Edel Aventure 11 meter.

Difficult to give advice on best boat without details of sailing habits, where it will be used, and how much cash.

BTW half boat owners are only disparageing about cats because they are jealous, or have never tried one!

I've been on one. It had the hulls done out as accomodation and the open bridgedeck of a racing cat. You can by a module that gives you rigid accomodation on the bridgedeck too. It was at the lively end of cats for pace and motion, went up wind pretty well, I'm trying to remember if it had daggerboards or not, the living arrangements were a bit like camping but it was well made and everything worked OK.
