Need help with volvo penta twin 44kda\'s turbodiese

need help here, on my hawk 34 (sunseeker) when i cruise about 2500rpm then try to get up to 3000rpm, it goes up, then down to 2500rpm then goes to 3000rpm(steady speed) whilst i move up the rpm i hear groaning noises and can feel the boat moving slightly(slowing down and going faster) any help?

Please give us a list of what you have checked? Anything on the gauges showing above the norm ie temp or pressure?

Sounds like it could be a fuel problem check the glass bowls first.
