Need a supplier for an approx 5inch width D shackle

Does the OP really need a shackle rated at 30 tonnes or is he looking for large size to accomodate much rope cloth or something. The simple answer if he does not need the strength is a U shaped bent piece of SS with a bolt through the tips of 5 inches. If he needs a large diameter pin ie to releive stress on rope etc then a piece of tubing with the bolt going through the tubing. However if needs to lift something of that kind of weight then yes he needs a big shackle. good lcuk olewill

Sorry - been getting ready for a delayed launch.
The 30 tonne rating is not necessary it's for an odd shaped front bumper on a car we will be using for launching.

If the bumper hasn't got sharp edges then a lifting strop and a smaller shackle is the answer.

Is the OP sure that the 'bumper' is an appropriate place to take the load? Most vehicles have towing points front and rear (or somewhere to screw the supplied towing eye).
