Can anyone throw any light on the reliability of NECO boat heading compasses, and their ability not to have deviation?
I am not seeking technical information, but just the practical aspects of using them.
These are steering position and repeaters at the nav station. They are controlled with a mast mounted compass (with no face), that sends the heading information, as magnetic as they are supposed not to be influenced by their metallic surrounds. Katoema is a steel ketch with many electronic nav aids for disabled sailers.
Thanks in advance
