Tried searching and navionics site is hard to understand

The boat i bought has to A series plotters, I am networking them to share charts

The plotter at the cockpit has a 2gb card with navionics charts, I plugged it into the chart software I downloaded and it says subscription ended

I can still use it, but if I click on renew, it prompts to delete the charts and it will download new ones, no where does it say how much I will be charged for the chart or subscription

Anyone know where to find price? Only for UK presently

In my opinion you are always better off buying a new "update" card and then using you existing card to validate it. You then have your new subscription card and your old one (that one can still be used but no longer be updated). You can even change areas. The exact price will depend on what coverage area your existing card is. For a Gold card price is typically £100-115.

Think I'm being stupid, searching for navionics update shows cactus marine, and that doesn't have my plotter as compatible, all other show.out of stock, and navionics sends me to their partner site and that only has full cards not updates, where do you buy the update card for UK?

I would avoid at all costs damaging or erasing old card .... it may be out of date subscription - but that does not mean it has no use.

Can you not insert an empty card and have that used by update service ?

If your sub has run out - then doesn't that mean you have to buy a new full card to start a new sub ?

If it is the (capital letters) A Series plotter is if a CF card you have (in which case surprised it is as big as 2Gb). Not sure if these are still available new, though often found on eBay.
If it is a more modern plotter using MicroSD card then easier

No. As long as it had not already been used to activate a new card you can update it with a new subscription, or better still activate a new card subscription. I tend to have a subscription over a year, run another year without subscription, then activate a new update card.

From what I researched, you buy an sd card with map with navionics+ update, then it prompts for your old card to activate, but I can find a source for the update card, will call navigates or navionics tomorrow

Ok, so mine is a75 so you have the same and I have done update.

This is the card I have used, now it is called Navionics +, but updates from a valid Gold card.

Download "Navionics Chart Installer" onto PC. Insert new update card USING THE USB CARD READER THAT IS SUPPLIED, it will then prompt you for a valid card to activate with, then you put in you old card. Then finally put in your new card and download the required region.

Note you can also buy the update cards preloaded with a region but they would need updating again anyway.

I recently bought a boat that had a long expired Navionics card. It doesn't matter who bought it or owned it, as long as you have an old card, you can update your subscription for half price. The UK distributor are Navimaps (Navimaps) who could not have been more helpful.

Download the chart updater app, plug your card in and go from there. When I had a glitch, an email direct to Navionics reset my updater and I was soon back in business.

As long as that card has not already been used to activate a new card!
