Navionics on i pad

Blimey it over a Month since I reported back on this Thread!
Doesn't Time fly wen yer having fun!
My i pad aint got GPS
A remote receiver is the answer they say
Trouble is they are a few quid
This is only a back up as I mentioned

Good luck.....if a backup then it will work fine on a phone. I am sure someone would be able to tell you how to tether your phone to your current non WiFi iPad for a better view! However if you are going to use as I did ie as primary system then you will need to bite the proverbial bullet methinks! But as you said, probably a lot cheaper than fixing the old system and if of any comfort think of all the other things you can do on a brand new WiFi enabled fancy iPad.......

I did try tethering to the i phone
Thing is I dont think it would because I just had the free App
Yeh I get the gist of that, think I can manage a bit of 'IT' tech
Had to laugh, saw an APP for an Abacus on my phone!!!!
Thing is I don't get
'This app will be discontinued' it says
Asked others, just had a 'gallic shrug'!

Noted that there apps around to allow sharing of GPS from phone to 'tablet'
