struggling with 136 page Lowrance instruction book...
It is possible to use the navionics into a pc to "plot" at home, and then using mmc card to load into the plotter? Lowrance talk about Mapcreate6 (at some vast price) but does that work only with their own (road) maps of USA, or is that what i need?
Or cant I plot waypoints from pc for loading into the plotter?
confused and lost at sea...!

Hi gjgm
Unfortunately Navionics use some unusual system for their charts which seems to preclude them from using a PC to plan at home.
I have been trying to work round it for ages and I have a copy of Mapcreate6 which came with the plotter (globalmap 5000c) but you are correct that it only works with the USA base map.
The only way i can see is to use a dedicated PC planning programme and then transfer the waypoints etc. manually.
