Navionics app question please....

As I understand it, the depths on the Navionics chart are the datum depths: they don't change according to the state of the tide. So, you go to the nearest tidal prediction point tap on it and it will give you the tide height at that moment, you then add that height to the chart depth and you've go the depth of water available.

They used to! I forget what you had to do but you could set the bar on the tidal chart to various times as you moved it along the time line the charted depths changed accordingly?

I have a question on the weather and tides feature.
It works when the gps is on but shows my home location details which is the local river whilst I'm at home.
I can't seem to find how to change the location to a say, marina on south west coast (Brixham) to check conditions there.
Is there a way to have the side bar with all the details of weather, tide etc for that location whist I'm home..
Just go to the marina on the chart and click on the nearest tide symbol on the chart for tidal info. I have worked on Navionics all over the world from Scotland and it worked fine in the Caribbean without any form of connection. I had added the charts for USA and Canada for some ridiculous price. I believe it was less than a tenner.

This is what I mean…
The second image is with the cursor positioned at near low water with most of Ryde sands showing
The first image is with the cursor positioned at near high water yet Ryde sands is still showing green.
A few years ago movement of the cursor sideways along the tidal time line would show real world depths, ie Ryde Sands covered at high water. This seems to have changed for me, as per below images.
Any ideas??
thanks

I’m not aware of ever seeing the chart change to show variable water depth apart from when you change the water depth value in the settings, other than it shows at chart datum as any paper chart.

The numbered depths in your two images seem to have changed, just not the colour of the drying area.

This seems like a reasonably logical presentation, as you don't want to accidentally anchor in a drying area.

The colour has changed in other areas - e.g around the special mark in the north east corner of the chart, and adjacent to the drying areas due south of it. I'm not so sure I agree with this design choice.

I've had to reinstall the app on my phone but haven't been able to restore on my Samsung tablet. Recently I've found that several apps bring up the message "your device is not compatible with this version" so suspect that my tab A device is no longer much use. I've tried resetting to factory settings and have now entered a world of pain re entering all my IDs and passwords - aaaarghhh
