Navionics and a new phone

I think you are right, I'm sure Google link your phone ID with your iISP and control a lot of apps availability, especially those that are zoned, it renders VPN's pretty much a waste of time now.

I think its far simpler than that ..... they link your phone / tablet you downloaded the app to - to the Google Login you use.

Example : I changed my IPTV Android box other day (the TV is not a built in SmartTV) .... old Android box was starting to lock up when watching F1 etc.
I went to download F1TV to the new box .... but Google showed I had reached maximum number of units to view the app on ... a list of the Brand Names / Model ID's of each. It did not matter about ISP. I deleted old box from list and it installed to the new. I put my Login into the F1TV app on new box and I had my full subscription operating fully .....

Where did you find that information on Google. Was it in your account.

Asking me ?

When I went to Google Play Store to install F1TV to another Android unit ... the page showed all the items I have the App installed to .. its standard Play Store listing ...

Go to an app page on Play Store that you have installed - look below the header part and you will see that Android unit its already installed on ..

StickyFingers, you're right. I have the old version, and they clearly don't want me to continue using the charts on a new phone without a sub. I was hoping for a cunning workaround.
Any luck with this TonyMS? My old iphone has downloaded charts which still work with the latest version of the Navionics app (now called Garmin boating). Now I have a new phone I would love to transfer the downloaded charts into it…..
