Nautique Saintonge

I am surprised I can find nothing about this yard, apparently it was a famous one but I am unable to discover anything about it on the internet. Clearly they're no longer in business but you would think there would be someone out there who knows something about them.
When I find out, I'll post it.
Have a great day, I'm off to Martinique to buy a boat.
Oh happy day.

I have owned a Nautic Saintonge 39 for the last 15 years. It is a centre cockpit cruiser. A long fin keel with a skeg hung rudder. An excellent sail boat with great sea keeping qualities and excellent accommodation

The yard produced Kritter and her sister yachts as well as most of the Pen Duick yachts.
In the 1970 s they produced the 39 and the 44 as fast centre cockpit cruisers. I was told that the yard were sued by Swan yachts for copying the design of the Swan 39, lost the case and were subsequently bankrupted, but I have no official confirmation of this.

I also have a Nautic Saintoure 44 sloop, purchased it three years ago I have also been searching for information, feel like if I spoke french I would be able to get more info? what I wonder is what did this boat rate as an IOR boat.? If anyone could help out with this that would be great. The boat is fantastic fast sailing and the interior layout and double-entry are very cool. Currently, my boat is in Guatemala Rio dulce getting a full refit . Balsa core deck replaced hull painted mast and rigging redone toe rail removed very little of original teak deck left, bummer but less leaking? and less maintenance will post some pictures of the rebuild if anyone would like yo see? Thanks Joe

As regards getting info in French; google "translate English to French (other languages are available). The first search result will give you a very simple form into which you can type words in English which will be translated into French. Single words and short phrases yield the best results.
You can then use the resulting translations in Google searches which , hopefully, will lead you to websites relevant to your quest, which may or may not offer the option of English translation. In the event of the latter you may have to avail of the translation website I averted to above.

I have a french yachting magazine boat test article published at the time of the NS 44 launch. I can scan it and e mail it or attach as a file to you if you want. It is in French but as someone has said google translate should be useful.

That would be great my email address is joe@honestyfoundation.com.Some old info I found on this boat said that the N S 44 was built in 1978 as the yard's flagship for the 1979 Fastnet race? The original owner was French and raced in European and trans-Atlantic races, supposedly it was raced in the 1979 Fastnet race but haven't been able to confirm that "?Old info on the sale brochure of this boat back in 1998.Once again its fun to talk about these boat and get more info on them. thanks again Joe
