Nasty weather

Not good here on Crete now either, it's pouring down at the moment, they're forecasting strong northerlies tonight (Tue) Wed and into Thu. 40kts and gusting for later today. Chilly too, 6deg C is the forecast high for Wed.

Been fairly rubbish at the western end of the Med too. Last three weeks been sailing in strong winds. Last few days been very wet too.

Sat about here in warm and dry putting off getting on to the dock to go and do some work on another boat........ yuk.

Wet 'n windy here in Leros too. Forecast to be even more so during tonight. But at least the Sun's higher up in the sky here than in Essex :-)

Low pressure sitting over central Med and high pressure over UK. There's a met name for this inversion.
In calm cool Brighton my barometric joints are grateful.
You do seem to have travelled a long way from dry Cartagena to wet Paphos, Rivonia!

Just had an annual review at Hove skin clinic. Judging by some of the alarming scalps I see many long term sailors should do the same!

Rivonia, when I saw your post I thought I'd slipped back in time. You have had some rotten weather this winter, haven't you? And Tony on Crete.
Last few days have been glorious here: Plymouth!

One of the benefits of winter on Crete, and one of the main reasons we winter here, is because bad weather generally doesn't hang around for long. Prior to the arrival of this bit of bad weather we've had very balmy weather, blue skies, sunshine and 16 to 18 degrees C. So even when the weather is bad here you know it won't last long and we'll get sunny days and moderate temps again. Variety is the spice of life! :)

Bright, broken clouds and dry with the winds decreasing here on Aigina, pretty damn chilly though. Low pressure slipping southwards slowly so hope you damp guys get some better weather soon.

How are you these days. Yes now in Cyprus and retired. Enjoying the good life apart from this unusual cold front.
