My nice new Nanni N2.14 is installed and ready to go ... almost. The chap who did the fitting didn't attach The Purple Wire, which is the one which enables the VSR between the engine and house batteries when the engine is on[1]. The yard are happy to do that before launch, but it would probably speed things up if I could tell them where to attach it. I can't, though, because the engine, the panel and the boat are all a hundred miles away.

So ... does anyone know Nanni panels, and the A4 in particular, well enough to identify for me a wire or a connector which goes live when the engine is switched on? It doesn't need to be running, just on. In case it makes any difference, I have the flybridge panel, which means there is a simple press-button on off switch rather than a keyed one. Like this.

A photograph of the back of the panel would be extremely useful too.

Thanks, that's very useful. Looks like I need (them) to tap into one of the red/yellow wires coming out of the stop J17 switch on connectors 14/22, or maybe use the remote panel connection

There is no need to wire the VSR to the panel.

It has to be connected somewhere, and the panel is a convenient place. In case I wasn't clear enough before, the VSR is only enabled (by a relay on the ground) when the engine ignition is live. That's because I have a dual-output solar panel and I don't want the VSR doing anything to mess up its charge splitting. On the last engine (1GM10) it just piggybacked onto the switched output of the key switch.

Perhaps use the feed from alternator D+ instead, so that the ground line relay closes only when the alternator begins to put out?

I wondered about that, but I am not sure how it would interact with the charging light circuit. Probably not at all, but it's easy to evade the issue at the cost of operating the VSR for the occasional 5 seconds longer than strictly necessary. It also makes checking the system easier.

Hi all, I am looking for the Nanni A4 panel wiring diagram, and it is no longer available at this link, or any other link that I can find.

Did anyone save a copy before that link went down?

If so, then could you please post in this thread, or send me a PM?

(I just registered here for this specific purpose, so I don't know if the forum will allow me a PM yet.)

For what it's worth, I was able to get a look at that page that @Baddox linked by using archive.org.

It was a home page of sorts for the Nanni A4 panel, with embedded links to PDF documents.

I attach a screen grab.

Unfortunately archive.org does not appear to have ever crawled the embedded links.

However, after Googling the hell out of "A4_key.pdf" and the French word "cle", I think I finally came up with the right PDF, which I attach here.

If anyone has it, I'd also love to get the "Tachometer setting for A4 panels" document, which (dead) linked to http://extranet.nannidiesel.com:808...tation/TB/REGLAGE COMPTE TABLEAU C4-FR-GB.PDF

Weird that Nanni has taken down that support web page and its linked PDF files.
