piper...

a boat called spirit of clyde played itself out of las palmas harbour with a piper on the foredeck at the start of the ARC and played itself into rodney bay at the finish likewise.

in addition, their 'visiting cards' were miniatures of scotch with the boat's name on. now that's what i call class!

How about a drum kit??
Not much chance of practise at home without upsetting the neighbours, but at sea, who are you going to annoy??

Tom,

Yup, the Sax! I play whilst SWMBO takes the tiller. I don't know why, but she does object to me playing when we are both down below, she obviously doesn't appreciate fine music!

I've not played whilst anyone is alongside.........

Organs afloat....

....I have an electronic keyboard that works off the 12v battery supply.
Thought might be cool to cruise from Hampton Court to Windsor playing Handels Water Music but have yet to pluck up the courage to emulate the Monty Python guy...../forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

Re: Mouth organ

Quite right Ken. I am a self-taught 'moothie' and not a very good one but late one evening whilst tied up to the centre pontoon at the last Festival of the Sea at Pompey, I was staggered when a handfull of loose change was chucked into the cockpit!.
