fistly i must say that i have ordered from http://www.marinestore.co.uk]and received goods next day, although i had missed their 12pm deadline, magic!!!!!!! and i had not taken the option of paying a delivery premium, to either company. That however is where the first class customer service stopped, i then rec an email from the alleged offending company stating that the order was being processed for despatch @13.32 on thurs 15/05/03 order placed some hr or so prior having paid for 24/48 delivery @ £8.50 for what was a smallish order but contained outdrive bellows, new anodes etc so that they could be fitted today, and boat dropped back in water tomorrow, i was rather hoping that at the very worst, they would have been with me today at around 1300 hrs ready for this afternoon to be fitted HOW bloody wrong can you be!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I telephones company that has allegedly let me down to find out where my parts are,was informed by the "manager" that 24/48 hrs mean WORKING hours!! which in my book means 5/6 working days !!! so why did i pay a premium??? i could have had that on ordinary delivery, so here below is the final order page with prices etc of the company that in my opinion has let me down ,imho , has no concept of customer service, who didn't even apologise for the poor service and made no effort at reconciling the fact that they had an unhappy customer on line, i did not shout at, or abuse, "said manager" but i did say i would voice my displeasure with the alledged poor service ,and lack of customer service i had received on the ybw.com forum, as the service had been recommended, to which he replied" if you print or try and damaged my buiseness on the internet i will pass it on to my solicitors, to take ACTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " obviously afraid of the good free publicity i am dispensing????

damn it !! i can't cut and paste it so here it is http://marine-hardware.com so have a look at the final order page £6.00 for 2/3 day delivery £8.50 for 24/48hr

i know it's not a fortune but countries go to war on principles, i've now lost a day, and also had to pay for another 2wks on the hardstanding whether i use it or not.And also had to turn away a new collegue that had offered to help, so wasting his time !!
NOW paulineb i AM going to get P****d

I agree that it's somewhat misleading but I have to say they are'nt the only ones. We use TNT and DHL next day delivery services at work but next day means next working day and they dont deliver on Saturday unless you specificaly request it

What kind of option is "24/48 hr" anyway....is that next day or two days? or it might come in 24 hours, but don't ring us 'til 48 hours .

I keep having to order new mobile phones for an Icelandic pal who drops 'em in the sea(!).....virgin mobile deliver inside 24 hours every time, with no delivery charge, even on a sunday (cheapy no-contract phones, so small money).

For £8.50(!), even the royal mail would've got it to you on a saturday, surely?
