Well almost, Animatrix Capital LLP owned by Rupert Lywood now own 91% of the Najad shares. Interesting to see where they progress from here, I heard that having Alfred van Wincoop at the helm was an unhappy time for Najad.

I mistakenly thought we lived in Britain, therefore are usually called 'British', with "English" being a sort of language being spoken in some parts!

Ah well, it takes someone from the 26 counties to enlighten me.

Nationality

Of course British = English except when something goes wrong
For example in last months PBO the writer of an article on the Gota Canal proudly told us all how it was an 'English' design. The engineer was a guy called Thomas Telford.
On the BBC when Andy Murray fails to win he instantly reverts to being Scottish.
So if you are not English but from within the UK you have the privelege of being ' English' if really successful, 'British' if on the up and Welsh,Scots or Irish if you are caught shagging sheep.

Are you for real? Worst attempt at trolling ever...

In all rationality, the paddies should be British too but we mishandled that situation.

Symptomatic of this is the way we happily interchange "British" and "English" - seen as a sort of arrogance by the Scots / Welsh and Irish but in reality simply sloppiness as a result of the fudged / bodged creation of the UK.

What other country has four different national football teams for example. It's a mess.

euphimism (sic) of the week

'we mishandled the situation'
are you sure thats not a touch oversimplified and understated?

At the last Olympics there were Welsh, Scottish, and Irish medals but no English ones. They were British. England is not in the Brussels dictionary, official, only the minor provinces have their national titles.

Also don’t forget that the Welsh and Scots are only the Irish that couldn’t swim!

Now back to the OP and Najad being under English management…..that’s them out of business isn’t it. Can’t be having English boat builders can we.
