Hi,

Need to re-program the Simrad NAIS400 on the boat I purchased.
Followed the manufacturer's instructions (used AISPRO2; but it seems the MMSI is locked- field is grey in the configuration window).

Does anyone have experience/ knowledge on configuring MMSI on the NAIS400?

Page 25 of the user manual states that the MMSI can only be entered once using the software. You have to get a dealer to reset the MMSI on a second hand unit or if you've moved it to another boat. Link to manual here https://www.simrad-yachting.com/Root/stu/NAIS-400_UM_EN_988-10373-002_w.pdf .

However, if the boat already had an MMSI when you apply to change the ships radio station licence to your name, the boat retains the same MMSI so you shouldn't need to reprogramme the unit.

Hey,

Thanks. Read the manual.
Boat changed owners and registration.
MMSI had to be changed.
I was looking for a technician code for the change since I am using the software mentioned.
