Lovely. I’ve also sailed past there too a few years ago. Where did you manage to moor? IIRC the short stay marina fees were telephone numbers. We’re hoping to get there next year.

We anchored (free) at Port Washington, and are currently on passage to Delaware.
Our friends, who took the photo, anchored (free) by the statue but said it was very rolly with passing traffic.
I've heard that if you book ahead, you can a buoy for $50/night at Sheepshead yacht club. That's still a bit pricey for us though.

Lunch today at the crêperie in the port

the only doggy bag in use was the barf bag the lady at the next table was using, she sat there, filling the bag while her husband ate his meal. She sat there pale and not well for about an hour eventually she went back to her cabin.
Had a great chat with her husband after she left, we were almost the last to leave the restaurant. My wife did not finish her plate as she was a bit under the weather but managed to hold on… her sea legs are getting better.
It was not that rough last night, it has been much worse at other times.
