That's the best use of a jetski I've ever seen!
These parades are held in every town throughout the country (and world) by re-enactment societies....it gives an idea why the value of a well sorted Jeep is so highFab early morning
I wondered if they were looking for a Mc drive thru?
“This reenactment runs on cawfee and fully leaded”
Got to love a Willys J
Mid 1940’sI knew you lived in the 1940's![]()
With the age of those people in the jeep, I would not expect them to be able walk far, but to use their bus pass.
The wife and dog returned from their early morning walk before the day gets too hot...and tells me I’ve just missed the all the military vehicles....shame really because you see all the artillery pieces that they tow for the parade. They also have a big military camp down the road where they sleep under canvas.
So I managed to get some pictures of the stragglers. There are general rules for these things....first, it’s virtually all American...they did have the coolest kit...some Free French...even the odd German. But never...ever...Brits.
And they are always mechanized.....apparently soldiers don’t walk
There’s a tradition in re-enactments....when you get old you play a General....there’s a lot of Generals in re-enactmentsWith the age of those people in the jeep, I would not expect them to be able walk far, but to use their bus pass.
She does a good job, I’ll give her thatI was going to call this 'slavery gets shit done'.
When she said 'I do' almost 35 years ago, did she realise she was also saying 'yes' to this?
