Destination was in sight but unfortunately we have had to go through the new city and moor on the canal bank on the other side because someone who shall remain nameless got his dates mixed up and there is no mooring until tomorrow. C'est la vie!

First rule of boating.....never blame the wife. Especially inland boating, because they can storm off any time they like

One for Wansy. And almost as warm as España this afternoon?

Well, actually, it was me who made the goof. I no longer have a wife and my friend who is travelling with me is far too perfect to make mistakes ( she is Swiss)
As it turns out, it has been serendipitous as the place we moored is right beside the Carcassonne bypass and there is a huge LeClerc so we thought we’d stock up on some groceries and cook inboard tonight. But we found a wonderful Sushi place in the nearby unit to LeClerc and had dinner there and bought lots of stuff from their épicerie and cave. https://ansushi.fr/
I also got a call from the lady who cleans the house in France for me and there is a problem and I need to go there tomorrow so will leave my travelling partner to mooch round La Cité while I do that.
