my project sealine

Mark I'm not sure I'd look for a catalogue oak profile for the over-nosing. Just get a moulding made up by a wood shop with a moulding machine, then you get the dims and detailing exactly how you want it

For the window mullion yup I'm with Jez. Get rid of as much of the current stuff as will come off or can be sawn off, to avoid bulking up, then make a leather or fabric-over plywood U channel, and stick on with Dual-lock pads. I think though the 130mm or so height of this needs to be thought about and you might want to put an oak trim strip or something down the middle to funk it up a little, which would be pretty easy to do

What you want is a profile gauge, this is the perfect thing to get the desired profile to the joinery shop.

OK Evenstar isn't finished, but is good enough to be at the boat show this week.

We had to tackle the last major job. And the last nasty surprise. There were 4 - leaky windows, rotten pasarelle mounts, dodgy wiring and this.

A loose flybridge seat had caused them to bodge a bolt without sealant. This allowed water into the balsa core, so the fly sagged in the middle.
It wasn't going to heal, and I didn't like the plinth the seat sat on anyway. So the fly floor was raised to the height of the plinth, to give rock solid strength and a flat floor.

The rot,

you can see the white plinth that was about an inch and a half off the deck. Structural foam was bonded to the deck and glassed over.

we left drainage channels at the side, don to original deck level, which led to the original scuppers.

the work progresses.

I also had a new seat made, that could take the liferaft in its base. The backrest is tram style so we can make the most of the space at anchor.
All finished off with my favourite posh lino.

ticked a few other little jobs off the list too.

finally got the coppercoat on.

The pasarelle and davits added a lot of weight to the stern and we removed them. The antifoul therefore had to be lowered at the back as it was too high.

We had coppercoated the bow thruster tube and the patches for the blocks before the weather turned last year. So she was only out for 5 days, didn't have to wait for it to cure and rechock.

quick blast

I also wanted an anchor that was fit for purpose. you can see the standard 10kg and the new 16kg.

Now it's done you can't tell it was done. But the anchor gives confidence now.

Nice seat but correct me if I'm wrong. Wasn't the original seat fore/aft adjustable via the usual carpy Sealine string system? Is the new seat similarly adjustable? Great job overall

Well ours never slid as the runners were bent! It is fixed at the mo, but the plan is to add some runners at some point. Not important to us but on the winter list.

That looks a great mod on the anchor housing in the bow, any more pics of the process after zipping out with the multimaster? I suspect many owners of the same boat (inc myself) would be interested in trading up an anchor size.

Looking forward to your interior shots of the upgraded interior, thanks for sharing.

Not really. When done you'd have to put it side by side with an un modded one to see the difference.
Its not that easy a mod though, lots of fiddling. If anyone wants it done we would charge £1000 and then only if was local.

Boat is looking brilliant, and some of the improvements / jobs that you have done are not for for the faint hearted - very impressive.

The new helm seat you have had made looks very smart, where did you get it from please, and did it have the option for arm rests on the sides, as i am interested in changing the helm seat on our flybridge.

The seat came from ag baltic in lithuania! They make to order so mail them.
BD marine in southampton made the base, it hinges forward to access the raft.
