My boat is stuck!

Was disappointed to read the recent update which said you were still stuck fast so really pleased to read now that you're afloat. It's a hard lesson you've learned but one that a lot of sailors get taught early on especially if you're sailing in areas with large tidal ranges. Hope it gets better for you and full marks for your tenacity in getting her afloat again, doesn't sound as though it was easy.

Cheers, Brian.

Wow, great result! Well done, and thanks for sharing - I suspect you struck a sympathetic chord with most people here and I'm glad it all worked out in the end.

Pete - amazing pics of your guys at work and what a great effort, that's what it's all about really.

Free at last

We were rooting for you here in Fremantle also. Glad you got it off.

Sailing is all about crisis management, coping with your own stuff ups and getting some fun amid all the madness. Persevere and you will start to have fun. good luck olewill

Good to hear that you got your boat off with hopefully no damage. We have a 4 mile long shallow channel through shifting sand banks to negotiate every time we go out, it is buoyed but often they are not good to see or are missing. It is quite interesting to go out in a inflatable on a low spring tide with a GPS to plan your own route through the sand banks but it usually means carrying the dingy for part of the way.:)

Excellent.

And remember, the person who has never done something stupid with a boat has never owned a boat!

Now go and enjoy it.
