With the recent and sad demise of the Hythe Marina pump out we went again to Warsash for a pump but alas that is not working and they don't know when it will be back in action.

Where is there a pump out that actually works within the Solent area as the situation is becoming desparate?

Im sure I can get a few more knots and mpg out of the girl if she could get the stuff out of her system and then I intend to dump (no pun intended) the wretched pooh infested tank.

Any ideas please?

Nick

Hi Nick,

Port Solent has a pump-out facility. Don't know whether or not it's working. Their number is 02392 210765. Let us know if you end up coming our way.

Cheers.

Makes Thames boating seem quite sanitary by comparison.....that'll teach you to try the other sides grass....../forums/images/icons/smile.gif
Surprised that the tanks full though......Phil Cool said you hadnt been at all nervous......../forums/images/icons/wink.gif
Emptied mine at Shepperton last weekend, ponged a bit, think I must have forgotten to do it at the end of last season..............did somebody say there was some chemical stuff you can put in to make it 'sweeter'?

Not sure about Thames boating any more having only today been quoted £2000 to install a holding tank on the S34. What was it my mum used to say about spending a penny ?

Join the DTB revolution.......Dump The Bog.........You know it makes sense....(or is it you know it pervades the senses?)

Other ways of avoiding waste.....
1.Tell swmbo to 'go' at locks with a loo
2. Stick a jug in the heads for the guys.....stops the tank filling up so quick if you get my drift /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
