Oh well
That's the weekend knackered:D

The dinhgy hangs precariously
I see to it occasionally
Some times it swings both ways

In calm waters or in waves
It has no sexuality
It's just a rubber fantasy

But helps to run the Folk ashore
When drinks and an stuff could be no more
Which could be sad
I,d like to say

Cos I gorra fix it
Later today!

AFAIK, and it is mostly assumptions! Most of the moorings in the bay are private, but there are a few by the Council estate & Dock entrance that are classic CHT style moorings. They are large orange, foam clad, cylinders and never have a strop fitted (to avoid damage claims if they fail, I guess).

I can reach to put a line thro the top shackle by hand while lying on the foredeck, but I have relatively low freeboard. They are very seldom used. There are two similar ones off Caernarfon if you need to wait for the tide to enter either the river or the dock.

The other evening, we were discussing whether some visitors moorings had been provided at PD. Many of the boats in the picture are on orange buoys. Are they visitors moorings and how many is there? Is there any charge for their use?
Juggler

The HM said, grab anyone you like. There free for one night.

Oh, but only the outside ones, cos MF is a bit fat.

There are two 'waiting' bouys off PD Dock entrance normally
The one MF was parked on and the ones Searush mentioned are laid by Caernarfon Harbour Trust.

The outside ones are for 'Fat Boats' as hlb mentioned
IE fit for heavier vessels.

Dinorwic Marina does not provide visitors moorings per se, afaik

But peeps (as per hlb) are usually welcome to sit on one of the Caernarfon Harbour Trust ones as per usual mooring etiquette.
