Sheppards Chandlers probably got one in stock, worth an email.
Getting a berth in Gib now is often down to chance. Again worth an email to either Ocean Village or Queens way Quay.
Alternative might be to arrange a delivery to the diesel docks. The are a customs free zone.

Tried Shepherds. Very helpful emails but none in stock, they’ve had them in back order for a while and don’t know when they’ll be in.

We have spare
The pumps seem to be considered to be disposable, by some, but less so the bowl/ pedestal part.
Personally, I keep a complete spare pump, fully serviced, on the boat, ready to to swap in, if the 'in-use' one begins to give trouble. A big zip-lock bag keeps the faulty one safe until it can be serviced in favourable circumstances.
We have spare pump(s) and service kits and even a hinge set (already part used…!) but the suspect part is the bottom main plastic bit that the toilet sits on.
I did show Mrs Morris the price of a Blake’s toilet new, to show her how reasonable the cost of a Jabsco one is… Blakes are either £5k or £7k plus depending on which model if anyone doesn’t know.

A man of JM's woodworking talents and experience should not be daunted by a slight problem. Perhaps more usable mid-Atlantic, though.

Perhaps such a contrivance should be re-named "Sterns" ?

We had a crack in the base of our loo, where the drain plug screwed in.

Fixed it temporarily with a bit of sealant in the thread of the plug. Never leaked there again. But I did replace the loo a few years later.

Might it be susceptible to being reinforced with epoxy? Failing that one of YBW's more enterprising skiprats might find one in a marina skip and post it to you.

I cracked that on my Jabsco.

I did it when I had a bad back and lifted myself off the throne with one hand resting on the pump so that I inadvertently pushed it sideways and the resulting leverage cracked the base.

It might have been possible to make a repair using sealant or epoxy but everything would have had to be thoroughly cleaned and dried first. It seemed like too much trouble and, as the excellent chandlery at Hardway was selling new Jabscos cheap, I took the easy way out and bought one.

If you visit the Maritime Museum in Amsterdam and go on board the replica East Indiaman, you will find that the captains cabin, in the stern, is equipped with not one, but two of those, one to port and one to starboard. They have commode-type seats and are fully enclosed and extensively glazed.

We spent this morning finally (hopefully) sorting things out.
Firstly I thought it was 100% fresh water. Two days ago we emptied the cockpit locker (a major undertaking) to access the pressure pump and Calorifier and expansion vessel. We found two fresh water connections dripping. We double clipped them tightened them up and filled the water tank, replaced the freshwater pressure pump and monitored. No water in the bilge overnight so we thought we’d solved the problem.
We then had to motor most of the way from our previous port down to Porto. Unfortunately we then found a load of water in the engine bilge again.

This morning we looked at the stern gland and found that the collar of the PSS shaft seal had slipped. We then spent ages turning the boat upside down looking for the 1/8 imperial size Allen key that you need to undo the grub screws in the collar. It was eventually found and we moved the collar back to its correct place.. Hopefully the leak is now solved but we won’t know for sure until we’ve motored somewhere for a while.

in the meantime I’m sitting down to recover from the cost of chandlery in Portugal. I’ve got a suspected cracked main base part in the Jabsco compact toilet in the aft heads. As the whole thing is quite elderly (pre ‘twist n’ lock’) I thought I might just replace the whole thing.
Jabsco Compact manual toilet in the UK. About £155
Jabsco Compact manual toilet in Portugal £400
I might wait until Gibraltar…. They’re only £200 there.
If you're calling in at Portimao, go to Slickhull for your toilet problems. Talk with Vassille. Much much less than your quote of 400 euros. I know he's just ordered and received 2 for another client and even I was surprised at what he supplied them for.
