Mr J Herbert Thom

I'm doing some research on Herbert Thom with a view to giving him some recognition as one of the most successful racing helms of all time (about 500 wins) Among other things he won the Seawanhaka Cup for Scotland at Oyster Bay in 1938 in his 6 metre Circe. He was much involved in various Americas Cup challenges too.

If anyone has information, anecdotes photos or whatever please let me know.

In the first instance I am posting information on my sailing blog, www.scottishislandsclass.blogspot.com and in due course I hope to put a book together, based on what I discover.
