I was anchored at Branklet watching Burnham Week racing.
A flotilla of about seven 25 /30 ft motor cruisers were heading up river, line astern. A fleet of 25 Squibs then crossed ahead of them in a line.
They all stopped to wait for a gap.
Nobody would have stopped to thank you but it was appreciated.

The last time I was on a Hire boat on the broads, we came through Horning (from Wroxham) on a racing day, with the fleet tacking across the river... The gaggle of hire boats which I collected astern learnt when to slow, and when to go past. It introduced a nice boat handling challenge for them, but they all seemed to "get it".
