An interesting programme on Radio 4 this morning featured a 30 minute interview with Peter Stapleton, the captain of a freighter that successful saw off a Somali pirate attack. (See this post for a link).

At one point towards the end of the programme they were discussing storms and the (very experienced) captain commented that severe storms were becoming more common. What is the panel's explanation for this?

Not a panel explanation, but a scriptural:-

Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

That should provoke a reaction

...is it because we haven't built enough windmills, are pumping CO2 into the air, and are creating a climate armaggedon?
