Any idea where to find scrap railway wheels?
Scrap railway wheels make excellent mooring sinkers and unlike concrete they do not lose weight when submerged.
They must have found a way to defeat Archimedes ....
Well, if the weight changed when they submerged they'd have defeated Newton!
Weight, as defined as the product of mass and local gravitational acceleration, won't change for iron wheels or concrete blocks
The apparent weight will be less, as predicted by Archimedes' principle
Watercress line? They have exhtensive workshops at Medstead I think.
Thanks, I can't find that one.... is that a scrap yard?
