As some up this way will know the wind here has hardly let up for the last month with some pretty horrendous wind speeds.
Fed up running up and down checking fenders are still in place as couple of times the wind has been so strong it has blown them right over the rails onto the deck leaving the boat perilously close to the toon.
So me being the odd ball thought how could I keep her off the toon a bit ala med style. Slackened off the warps so the prevailing wind pushes her off so they become tight then run another off the stb quarter with one of them spring things then yank it up as tight as possible, another running off the aft cleat also with a anti surge spring and yank that one up tight. So now the boat is held in tension and can not bounce off the toon and can not go the other way either.
Went down during the last houlie and bobs your uncle no need even for fenders if you don't want em and she was moving far less than any of the other boats around.
Chuffed I am!, simple things impress the simple /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
