Royal Norfolk & Suffolk YC...good jetties close to sea, fuel, good food. Can be a bit of swell...

Lowestoft Cruising Club are nice people. You may not get a mooring straight away, but if you are local or willing to put some effort into their workparties you will get a good mooring for not too much.

As already mentioned the Royal Norfolk and Suffolk Yacht Club is probably the best but you need to be a member. Not a real problem as new members are always welcome and getting a mooring is currently a possibility. Worth giving them a ring.
Oh, I had better declare an interest as a member ofthe club:-)

Agreed Greg, it's a nice place and the 24hr access to the sea could be worth it's weight in gold on a cold night.

Don't you need to be proposed to get in the club though?

In theory, yes, but we often get people looking to join who don't know anyone at the club so we do have a process that involves an interview (very informal) with one of more of the Flag Officers. In essence, not knowing existing members isn't a bar to getting membership. Friendly place and the clubhouse is a gem.
