which I cant download today, the usual person who left her car there although to be fair it was a bit extreme today. I had to stop her from putting her three kids in the boot and trying to drive off.....and I am being serious!

A friend of ours on a wide beam narrow boat came down in the early hours and said it was a mega tide! He's safely tucked up with us now in St Kats, had a nice quick trip down on the tide.

I locked them down at 0130 .... they had to hold the boat on the engine in the middle of the lock as the bollards were completely underwater ....

When i started my watch at 2200 , i saw the note on our whiteboard saying ' 1 x N/B D/S @ 0130 ' and thought it was a joke !!

Nice guys !

The river is getting very fast at Tedders now , please tell them to be careful for the return journey ( they said they were coming back up on PM tide of the 1st )

thanks mate, will let them know that it's still not the best, they looked positively frozen coming into St Kats, but nothing compared to the trip to Limehouse apparently. Must say that the skipper is pretty good on the karaoke actually! Very nice guys though as you rightly say, all the best for the New Year!

Very high when we came through as well yesterday arvo, had to hold station in the lock with engines as bollards under water. Safely back in marina, although very tight getting under the footbridge. Just cleaning up now then back home for roast lamb and get the open fire roaring.

I was wondering how you'd get on with the bridge. The level has dropped by a foot up here in the last 24 hours... you timed it right!

Thank goodness, 2 inches spare, at night with a swirling current ceratinly gets you focused.
