Suggestions for better locker closing fittings?

My westerly has these for closing the lockers under bunks & sink etc.The locker doors themselves have all been removed & painted off white and I’d like to find something nicer than the originals to use for closing them.

The new saloon upholstery is a kind of sea green, the ceiling and locker doors white while all the mahogany trim is just sanded & oiled.
I’m thinking a bronze/brass/copper kind of finish, any suggestions as to what and where Iwould find this style of fastening? Or I could go for old fashioned bolts, which at least might hold them closed in a knockdown :)

I have ones that fit on the inside ... and you put your finger through a hole ... they hold against all falling on the doors inside ....

Not sure what they are called .... but the holes have also neat wood rings fitted ... look really nice.

Nearly all my lockers have those fitted. Work well but are tricky and time consuming to fit.

I call them fingersnappers. Got to be careful if finger in the hole and the boat moves/rolls.
 
I refurbished my boat and fitted the lockers with both old, original and new elbow catches. The new elbow catches did not have the sharp profile on the latch and catch, that the original elbow catches had, and failed regularly with the locker opening under load. The old elbow catches had sharp edges on the latch and catch and these were more secure, less trigger happy, a more positive catch across a wider range of movement. The new ones were secure on the flat when the door was pulled. Also, I have had locker doors with elbow catches open, when healed, when plates have slid down and activated the latch.

As a result of the shit modern manufacturing and crockery activating the latches, I have fitted chrome Gravelly fasteners on the outside. I sail in rough weather and since fitting the Gravelly fasteners everything has been secure. I like the look of the chrome fitting against the teak locker door, it has a neat, business like functionality about it.

I grant that the Gravelly fasteners could be aesthetically unappealing, however, they are reliable and work well. If you went down the Gravelly rout, don't fit the elbow catches, as they are not worth it for belt and braces.
