Monaco

101 .. its every other year and was 2 weeks ago i.e. this year

... and its always been before --- for the 18-20 years we've been going.

Oops -- all been corrected anyways. How embarrassing.

Well, it was entirely thanks to you that I had my first visit to the Historique a couple of years ago, and it was a fantastic day out, lots to see and all very accessible when compared to the F1. Great fun.

Normal pricing as well as Grand Prix and Historique pricing are all on the port's website. These are the prices you pay: no discounts and no middlemen/agents if you don't want. http://www.ports-monaco.com/en/grand-prix-en.html. The prices bandied around are just hype- you don't pay anything like gbp18k for 60 footer as quoted above; it's less than half that.

Both GPs are amazing. We did the Historique 2 weeks ago and we have just finished a wonderful weekend at the formula 1 GP, close to the chicane. Worth every penny. I'll post videos and pictures soon- we flew the drone briefly, though not during the racing of course. As a little bonus at both events, Monaco Marine allowed people into their Riva storage facility (aquaramas all stacked up indoors) near to stars n bars. That was a joy to see. Pictures later

Crikey! Those prices are really quite reasonable. I expected Monaco to be mega expensive. For my boat in Yarmouth it was about £50, in Monaco for a month it would be about £55 per day.

Can you actually get in for a 1 month visit though? or is it always full?

I wonder what the chances are of getting a spot direct though? Do you think you were just lucky JFM or did you have a connection with F1 to get priority as it says on the pdf?

indeed, they are,
a few years back, around 170 euro/night in Hercules,
and a bit more approx 180 euro per night in Fontvielle,
(normal average in SOF for 70ft is/was 150 euro/night).

while you have to stay in Hercules at least one night in your live,
I liked Fontvielle much more, but that had to do with the guests we had onboard ;-)

I'd got a reservation in both harbours quite easy, without a middleman,
but I guess we were Lucky, and each time it was just after high season (september)

" Sunny place for shaddy people ". Not sure who said that? or how much truth in the rumour ----but -
Owner of this sold his prize business ( and all that came with it ) - for £1 last year , and has been in the press recently -kerfuffle over pension fund , attracting attention of Westminster

You'd probably get a zone 2 or B space directly without an F1 connection but I'm not sure about that. Scroll down to picture after Hamilton and Rosberg shaking hands in this article and we had a very nice spot; 2nd boat from very left of picture (black sat domes). :encouragement:http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/36405273
