Hello, i am thinking of adding the commercial to my Yachtmaster and need to do the medical. has anyone go any idea what the going price for this is and some where in the bristol area that dose it?

Made an appointment with my own GP.
He charged £50.

Have a look at the MCA website,there is a form you can print out,for your GP to fill in. If you want to sail commercialy more than 60M from a safe haven (as I remember,check with MCA) you need an ENG1 medical,which needs to be done at an MCA registered doc and costs a fair bit more,cheers Jerry. (If you do a search on the forum there are a few threads on this subject...)

An ENG needs to be done by an approved doctor, the ML5 can be done by your GP or an approved doctor and I've been told it's about 70 quid - I've got to book one myself in the next couple of weeks.
