Hi,
Can anybody provide me information on a Mk IV Caprice - plans, layouts, reviews, articles or a class association.

I'm thinking of buying one and interested on stories on her sea worthyness.

Cannot find much on the next apart from 'Shrimpy'.

Age is a question of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.

used to have a fin keel version - tough as the proverbial. Four of us went away for a week up Loch Fyne complete with diving gear - she was about 4" down on the water line but she sailed better when the wind got up. Extra ballast I suppose. Very first sail I had in her, she'd been out the water for a couple of years. The ancient seagull prop shear pin did just that as I was approaching the marina with an on shore wind. In a panic I frantically hauled at the anchor chain only to be brought up short with 15ft of chain out - the chain/octoplait splice was stiff as a rod with corrosion and wouldn't bend round the chain pipe. Another boat threw me a line when I was about 30ft from the rocks. Ah yes, those were the days...
Dont know of any owner's clubs tho...
