The boat appears to have mooring lines complete with a rubber snubber hanging off the bow also the main hatch and washboards seem to be closed up.

Hopefully Mr Moore is happilly ashore somewhere completely unaware his boat has broken free from its mooring.

I think Luminescent clocked that but was having taking the micky a bit.

I did clock the washboards and strop in the pictures, like you say, hopefully he's visiting friends somewhere.

We’re not sticklers of flag etiquette in the Bristol Channel.

Its no secret the chap had an issue with drink, having regularly being pulled out of the mud after falling off the pontoon, etc. When he left he bumped into a couple of boats (as in "insurance job" level of bump). I was his neighbour for a bit, nice chap, always smiling, happy (at least on the outside). The mystery is why the washboard is shut/locked. I thought he might have got up for a pee overboard (might thin out the muddy water here hahaha) and fallen in - but the locked up doesn't stack up. Weird
