I bought a cheepy gas one to try them out £13. Of course, the bits rotted quite quickly as plain steel. Saved the valve and venturi air mixer and will rebuild it with two stainless baking tins for the body and lid. New burner in SS too. Not top of the list of jobs, but will post when I get round to it.

Glad to see PBO spirit coming out ....

The Mini BBQ I posted in opening message - I am considering creating a wind shield and a 'platform' I can clip to the pushpit.

But first it needs to be used - so I can actually observe how safe the inner basket is, how hot the bottom of the outer shell gets.

Highly recommend the Cadac Safari chef. Easy to use on and off the boat. Had one on board for 3 years now and used 5 or 6 times a year in a wide range of locations. Down side is they are about £70-100 in the UK.
