ROFL

Big arguements in the local papers about the routing of said canal and marina, also on the width etc... Coliholic will be a sea aquaholic by the time its completed, and I will probably have scared myself silly - and be a ditch crawler.

In the mean time I'm booked on some sailing lessons - and hope to teach short person how to sail on one of the many ex-gravel pits er... water features that abound in Milton Keynes.

Yes this idea has been floating around for a year or three. Several big hurdles to overcome, not the least of which is that the railway line at Bedford only has 4 ft or so clearance over the river, so maybe only be any good for the narrow boats.

Can just see BarryD in the only V8 powered narrow boat on the river;-)

You sir are no Officer or a Gentlemen :/)

I'm starting to get worried about you Kev, the buzz cut, piloshed boating shoes, creases in your jeans... Are you turning into a Sgt. Major character? Not thinking of swapping your baseball cap yet are you?

I bought this wicked gadget yesterday. It's a TV tuner that you plug a PC VGA monitor into. Comes with a mains transformer and also runs off 12v. I've got a spare LCD screen so I'm fitting all in the boat. mains or batt Flat screen TV for for a fraction of the normal cost!
