Midlands Boat Jumble

We went today for the first time in years, that wind in the car park must have come direct from the arctic, that was cold. Tea at £2.00 a cup shook me, but on the plus side I got an extendable boat hook for a tenner, a couple of new fenders for £20.00 (special deal as the chap was packing up and I offered £20.00 to save him loading them back on his trailer, advertised at £26.00 the pair) and some blue mooring rope and a brand new Lewmar winch handle for £15.00, particularly pleased with that. All in all well worth a visit as far as I was concerned.

The land location remotest from open sea is at Lat. 46º16.8'N, Long. 86º40.2'E in the Dzungarian Basin, which is in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, in the far north-west of China.

Coton in the Elms is a village and parish in the English county of Derbyshire. It is located five miles south of Burton upon Trent. South east of the village is Church Flatts Farm, which is defined by the Ordnance Survey as the farthest point from the sea in Great Britain.

No offence intended ![/QUOTE

Non taken, I lived there in another life, always getting my leg pulled....

Also attended and thought it was better than the last couple of years. Lots of stuff from a recon beta engine to a boathook, and lots in between. Had a big mooring rope for a tenner, new horseshoe buoy and a couple of new buoyancy aids for the kayak we are yet to buy. Price for a coffee was scandalous but the Arctic winds necessitated a hot bevarage, particularly as I left me hat at home!
