Can anyone help me.

I recently bought a small cruising boat and on collection the boat was packed full of useful bits (Too full to check before towing it home). The sale included 2 x VHF`s but I didn`t get mics for these units. The vendor insists that the mics should have been in the boat - but they arn`t and without them the VHF units are useless.

One is a Racal-Decca VHF969 and the other is a Seafarer range seavoice type rt100 (pretty old - but a usefull piece of kit).

I either need to find mics suitable or find someone who owns such VHF uits to copy the mics configuration. My crew is an avionics (aviation electronics) engineer - so with the right info we can make something to get them working.

Thanks folks

If you want an old Cleartone HH mike, I have one in the attic - if your mate can fit it up.

I also have a old (to be replaced - before next season) R-D VHF on my new boat, but all the books are still on there. I will be laying-up on Monday, so will have a look to see if there is any data concerning connections for the mike.

Send me a PM if of interest.

The VHF on my boat has a mic that has the same plug as an old cb radio I own, if you get stuck go to one of these cb or ham radio radio shops, they dont cost much, I think the cb shop would be the cheaper.

Nick in cheshire.
