MF805 screen wash not working

I have had the Merry Fisher 805 for one season now, and just before the winter the screen washers gave up. Jets are clear and the washer pump behind the helm position runs fine but the supply to the pump is dry. The user manual says nothing about the screen washer plumbing, but a Jeanneau dealer says it takes its supply from the main water tank (full at the time), not a separate reservoir.

I am sure I am just being dim here, but hopefully someone can set me straight as to how the supply is connected. I have looked at the back end of the water tank from the stern locker end but cannot see the pipe there or a connection to the tank.

Any troubleshooting information gratefully received !!

Yep - or failing that, follow the pipe from the pump to see where it goes.

In theory, never. In practice, nearly always. They did make an attempt in the magazine a few years ago to include more motorboatery, but they seem to have dropped it again.

The fact is, if you ask a question about a particular motorboat on this forum, it's unlikely anyone will know the answer. If you ask over in the Mobo forum, someone probably owns one.

It's not a question of looking down on the OP's choice of boat, just being practical about where he's likely to get the best answer.

Take the bucket to the tap. Place the sponge in the water provided. Add a drop of w/up liquid. Wipe over the screen. Remove residue with squeegee. Thats what I do anyway. Hope it works for you.
