forecast for inshore waters in the Solent tomorrow is for force 0-3.
Everyone else seems to be saying 4-7 with possibility of gales later.

I'm beginning to loose confidence in Metcheck - and by Monday, I might well have done!

Met office are now plating down the gale forecast! Metcheck might well be right.

I have not been able to access the Metcheck web site for 2-3 weeks. Has it been up and down? Have used it quite a bit earlier on this summer and was not far off.

Hi,

Lates now is that the morning will be S-SSE F2-F3, then increasing F4 in the afternoon.

Looks like the real increase doesn't happen until overnight into Monday.

Interesting thing is that the UK Met and NOAA disagree on the low moving east tomorrow afternoon. We are favouring the US solution at the moment which has low pressure over the Solent area at midday on Monday. Windy around the low too.

Watch this space! :)

Cheers,
Simon

Went to Cherbourg over weekend, weatheronline and metcheck both correct, I wonder if they use the same programe.

Got back to Chi on Sunday morning ( wind having died as preduicted 0200 mid channel) to find all quite due to forecast rain and high winds from the Met Office.
