I took ownership of a Merry Fisher 925 last autumn and have just bought a new dingy for it.
The boat came with Weaver snap davits so I assumed that I'd be able to put some pads on the dingy and all would be well. unfortunately on further inspection the davits don't seem to stick far enough out from the bathing platform to get past the diving ladder. I can only assume that the previous owners used to store the dingy on them and then lift it into the water rather then pivoting it down whilst still attached to the davits (See pic).
My solution is to get a pair of stainless panels made up to extend the davits off from the bathing platform.
I just wondered whether anyone else had overcome the same problem and what their solution was?
Cheers,
Andrew
