We seem to be in a phase of many people reading posts but very few responses.
Is this because regular contributors are
a) Unhappy with the new format
b) Not back into the swing of work yet so not back into the swing of posting.

Supplementary: I wonder if so many people always read the posts without responding.

Answers on a postcard please
Claymore is now back at work which came as a bit of a shock. (To both of us)

Choose the options that apply:

1.I couldn't reply until my password/username was unscrambled
2. I don't reply unless I have something to say
3. I sometimes reply and then get misunderstood (Ahh, there, there)
4. I'm not part of the clique, therefore not a proper person.

Perhaps it has something to do with the realisation, now that we have a count, of just how many persons view the posts. Previously the banter may have appeared to be much more like a private chat line.

Sorry to hear about the work bit. Also is a Quick Reply the equivalent of a Postcard?

Actually I do'nt think that many people actually view the posts, OI think the same peeps view a few times with each response etc and of course the search engines will count as views as well. Try searching on Muckyfarter in google;-)

I find the bl##dy thing appears to work a different way every time I look at it.

In fact it has become a bit of a bore and I hardly ever look at it, where as I used to be on it all day long... so maybe its a good thing!

I don't think that the ratios of reads to replies is unusual compared to other forums. The number of people who use this site at any one time is quite impressive.

The added challenge now though is, if you post a realy boring item, you have to look at it loads of times yourself, so people think its interesting.
