Does anyone have one of these? I am after the weight of the engine and possibly a copy of the manual.

The weight would be good for starters.

Also, what might you expect to pay for a good condition low usage 2nd hand one?

Thanks in advance

I sold one of these I've had for 2 years.
Weight was about 20kg, from what I could find online, and this corresponded well with my experience (lifting it to dinghy & yacht pushpit) and approx. twice the weight of my Yamaha 2hp 2 stroke. So 20kg about right.

My Merc was about 15 years old, and still in good nick. I bought it for $500, compared to about $1200 new price.

Weight is 45lbs frr SS and 48lbs for LS, I've had one for about 12 years and all it's had is a new plug. It replaced a then 3 year old one that was stolen so there may be a spare handbook somewhere, I will have a look. As for price I would have thought a good one would be a sought after bit of kit so aroung £300 I suppose but that could be wildly wrong.

Thanks guys

I think it's too heavy for my roundtail dink so I will let it pass. If any one is interested, he will accept £200.

Details here, in Huntingdon:

Answer to my query:

"sorry no paper work with her... and she is not stolen... and would take £200 for her"

Obviously a propper yottie - calls the engine 'her' ;)

I didn't ask if it was stolen, just if there was any paperwork.

When I bought the first one that was stolen I put it on a round tail, two days later I chopped it for a Quicksilver 270 airdeck, as every time I opened the throttle it tried to tuck itself under the stern, you made the right decision. If anybody does buy it I have the user manual in PDF, just PM your email address.
