For a guy who is usually so pedantic particular about detail, I'm surprised you don't appear to appreciate the difference between being funny and having a sense of humour. If it helps, let me tell you, just because people laugh at you, it doesn't mean you're funny.

Yes they were and maybe we should start them again? Last one I did was 2015.
Sadly though and I don't believe its been announced on the forum, I read Fergus died. He was along with Roger (Sailfree) one of the main organisers.

Yes Roger very much still around. He lives in Portugal now so probably will take more of a back seat.

I participate in a couple of other forums that are not boaty and they have a ‘general chat’ section which is nice.

Shame this forum does not have such a section in my h. o.

Many moons ago ... I organised a couple of BBQ / Get Togethers of YBW members .... included raffles and prizes from YBW ... (money went to RNLI ....

It was back in the days when YBW Forum had a few occasions of being hacked ...

Maybe someone remembers the big meet in Yarmouth IoW ?? Where we all got to actually meet GC1 !!
