Medusa Generator

In the Telegraph at the weekend they had a 'reader offer' on the 650W Medusa generator, at £130.
Anybody know if these are good value? Looking out for a cheap genny to use at the yard for odd jobs. Would it drive my on-board (Sterling) charger OK or would it not have a clean enough output for that?
Any advice welcomed.

Sounds expensive to me---I purchased a 950W intermittent, 800W continuous generator from Costco for around £79 plus VAT. Try your local caravan shop/showroom, also have alook in Halfords, they are almost certainly going to be cheaper than the price that you mentioned.

go to macro and get it at about half that price. Presume you mean a 25w stirling, only way to find out is to try it, and at that price, even if it doesnt work the stirling you will still have it for your power tools.

They have all sorts of names but they are the same.Mines called a COSMO! It is very good.Loaded it up with the rated output put a voltmeter on it and regulation is v. good.Took load off and voltage regulated fine.Ran my sterling charger off it and also TV. Seen them at all sorts of prices but Macro seems to be cheapest.As it is a 2-stoke I was a bit doubtful but starts and runs fine.and it is same oil petrol mix as my outboard it is also very quiet.I also run my 500watt immersion heater off it,but not all at same time!!! Last time I saw them at Macro they were £69 +vat.

Cheap "Kingavon" 850W at Makro currently £45 plus vat! Medusa 2300W at £199 plus vat.
