med Trip this summer

Last year we took a pedro 35 ft through the french canals and arrived in the med after a fantastic 7 weeks,This year for the summer hols I want the boat in the med to cruise the balearics and was thinking of the best way to get the boat back for some autum cruising hence the questions about the bay of biscay.
We have only just bought the boat and are cruising the solent every weekend in any weather going cant get enough of it.
Planning on going to chichester is it weekend is it anygood

if you done a trip like that, then i think you would be able to tackle Biscay.

However...check insurance - some (many?) don't want to cover a small boat in biscay after august.

Peters and May are well thought of for boat transport. By contrast Sevenstar, from my experience, are bandits who will take 50% deposit, delay the shipping date by several weeks such that you find other means of shipping/transport and then keep 20% or so to cover "costs".

Ang on. You went to the med, via canal. Now suddenly back in the Solent!! What happened in between??

Personally I can see nothing desirable about a boring long distance trip across Biscay. It's either boring or a long way from help if some thing goes wrong.

We sold the Pedro when we got back from the med and bought a broom 345 offshore
so we can go out to sea.
I dont think the biscay trip is an option too much hassle
The broom was our 3rd boat purchase in one year
The 1st was a Princess 25 which was 25 year old petrol kept breaking down every 5 minutes
The 2nd was the pedro a class 3 inland boat,the wife got fed up with going 20 kilometres a day and thru 25 locks french canals
Hence the move up to the broom and the tour of the med we plan to go to spain and balerarics for the kids summer hols and want to bring the boat back to do some autum and winter cruising.
